Parks Board approves Pinson Farm RFQ

During its regular Oct. 17, 2018 meeting, the Forney City Park Board met and in summary:

• Approved an RFQ for Pinson Farm Master Plan.
      Board held a brief discussion about the proposed RFQ, which they found detailed enough.
  
• Ms. Witt relayed a message from Mr. Curry that Diamond Creek filed a final plat that was proper and didn't need to come to the board. Will be reviewing Facilities Use Agreement, such as adding Wed. & Sun. are reserved for city use. Baseball having issues with people breaking into concession stand.
  
• Ms. Beasley told the board city council approved the fees-only appeal by Travis Ranch South. Planning for Trail of Treats, Christmas in the park, Nov. 3: 5k run, community worship and downtown wine-walk. Nov. 10 Veterans Day Ceremony, Nov. 11 Turkey Trax + 5k. Skating rink open Nov. 30 - Jan. 6. She has been awarded Certified Festival and Events Executive after 2-year program.
